Market Day - December 5th
It was a cold and rainy morning, and not a creature was stirring at the North Raleigh Farmers Market! Luckily, I only really needed more eggs. So we went over to the State Farmers Market and picked up 2 dozen pastured eggs from Rainbow Meadow Farms (Snow Hill, NC) as well as pastured pork BBQ and 2lbs of ground, pastured pork sausage from Mae Farm (Louisburg, NC).
I would really like to continue getting local, fresh organically-grown vegetables during the winter. However, I may have to rethink my plan of shopping at the North Raleigh Farmers Market. As the weather grows colder, it doesn't seem like many of the farmers are going to be coming out on the weekend.
