From the market: 2 dozen free-range eggs, 1lb pastured pork sausage, a bottle of local honey, eggplants, okra, green beans, potatoes, 6 ears of corn & 2 bars of hand-made soap.
I am very happy to start following your blog! I feel that we think alike, though you are much further along than I. What will you make with the okra? I'm new to the south and have no idea what to do with it, other than pickle and can it!
Frugalmegan - My Momma requested the okra (she loves it, me and my husband not so much LOL!). She just cuts them up and sautes them in a little bit of oil. When I was growing up, she would add them into her homemade vegetable soups as well.
