Another way to enjoy local kale from the farmers' market -
kale chips! I made these last night for Dave's NFL Draft viewing. After rubbing the kale leaves in olive oil, I seasoned them with Real Salt, ground pepper and a little Old Bay seasoning (Clayton is fond of crab chips - potato chips with Old Bay). Delicious and addictively snackable!
This is a new one for me ( Love that)! I'm going to have to try that!

Ooo! What a good idea! I never would have thought of this! Also, we live right in the center of Missouri on an Army base but we're only here for nine months before we're on to our next adventure ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI was a Produce Manager for 12 years and never, lol, never have I ever thought of using Kale for Kale chips. I would have loved to have been there to try them. It actually sounds like it might be pretty tasty. Huh, learn something new every day. You guys sure do eat healthy over there.
