I Heart Cute Shoes

I know some people are turned off by the thought of buying shoes second hand.  I can understand that.  But I've found some of my favorite pairs of shoes at Goodwill or yard sales.  I always look for those with little to no wear (you can tell by looking at the bottom of the shoe).  Like this cute pair of Franco Sarto heels I found Saturday at a yard sale.  Never been worn!  As was most likely the case for the DOZENS and DOZENS of other shoes this lady was selling.  Not only are these heels cute, they're comfortable and were only $2.50!

So what about you - would you/do you buy shoes second hand?

  1. Yes I do it all the time. Esp for my kids since they grow out of them so quickly. But thats just how I am. My life is lived in second hand stores. And yes, I too look only for great shoes with little to no wear. Luckily theres a childrens consignment shop in our small area and shes extremely choosy about what she takes in so everything is name brand, top of the line, including the shoes. So my girls always have brand new looking shoes at about $3-4 a pair. Cant beat that!

  2. I have no problem with shoes from Goodwill or Yard Sales - sneakers can be washed and leather can be cleaned. I got TWO pair of Anne Klein heels from Goodwill for 6 bucks!

  3. Your shoes are very cute, and I can see why you bought them. I buy only sandals and walking shoes, nothing with those cute high heels.
My favorite yard sale finds are vases, jewelry and books, but you asked and I don't buy shoes that way.

  4. I've bought shoes that way. I don't have a problem with it. Of course, we're going to clean them. It's no more unsanitary than going out to eat. (c:

    Those shoes are adorable!

I'm having my FIRST yard sale this weekend! (c:

  6. Yes, we've found some great shoes used. I don't have any issues with it; however it used to always gross my mom out. She would never buy us second hand shoes. However, we would wear hand-me downs from other people.

I wipe them out and/or disinfect them in some way and like you look for shoes with plenty of wear left in them!

  9. I have bought them second hand too. I don't mind if they are slightly worn or not worn at all even like you were lucky enough to find. They look awesome! Amber says "those were cute shoes. WOW." I agree.

    An excellent find.

  10. Franco Sarto's for $2.50 looking that cute, of course I would buy them!

Normally I don't look too close at the shoes in the second hand store because if they are worn the way someone else walks that could just cause back problems. BUT, I will be taking a closer look next time. Perhaps there are some new or nearly new shoes on the rack.
